The straps don't rub the sides of my feet to cause blisters (a common problem), and come up high enough on my foot to ensure the sandals stay on without any effort on my part. The heel is just high enough to let trousers hang nicely, and to be comfortable wearing all day. I'm actually thinking about buying another pair in a different color.
