(More customer reviews)Actually they do stretch or at least the two pairs I got. I can live with that so I guess they are better than the ones I have tried previously. Those came with the shoes so no idea about who made them. But I think those elastic knot laces by Xtenex grip tighter but apparently won't work with loops. These do.

She also complained about the lack of arch support. However, that is really a given with this type of shoe. Otherwise the look and feel are good.

My only complaint is that they don't stay laced when you take them off, but I think that's pretty typical. The material is soft so I didn't really expect them to stay that way like my other real leather ones. I like these better than my authentic ones though.

I bought my regular size and the fit is perfect (with hose - if you like to wear socks with your boots, I would suggest going up 1/2 a size). I have small to medium calves, and zipping them up there isn't much stretch. They fit like a glove, so if you have larger calves, these might be too tight.
